Hiking
The Passer Gorge – Water shapes the valley
Along giant rocks and forest sections, the path winds directly along the riverbank, where the Passer quietly flows through beautiful basins and over richly shaped blocks and stones.
An ambitious project makes the natural beauty accessible, which the power of the Passer has exposed and shaped. Over many years, it has carved into the rock and formed impressive rock formations, potholes, and whirlpools. As part of environmental compensation measures during the construction of the Enerpass power plant, a plan was made in 2008 to create a path from St. Leonhard to Moos. The path is part of the water trails laid out around Moos, showing how water and ice have shaped the valley. Seating areas and information panels accompany the path, only a few, so as not to take precedence over nature but to focus on its beauty. Many people were involved in realizing this, ultimately bringing to a happy conclusion what seemed hopeless at the beginning.
Mountain tour to Hohe Weiße (3,277 m)

Places to eat: Stettiner Hut, Lazinser Alm, Lazinser Hof
From the large parking lot in Pfelders (southwest) on a forest road that passes to the left of the village, into the valley to Lazins (8) and further to the Lazinser Alm at the valley end (8,24). On the newly built Meraner Höhenweg (the old path was closed due to rockfall danger), northwest, passing to the right of the Lazinser Alm first flat, then becoming steeper on the slope. Then over several, partly very steep hairpin bends up until the terrain becomes somewhat flatter again. From there, the first steep stages are gradually overcome. Now through less steep terrain in further hairpins higher up and finally (southwest) along the mountain slope to the Stettiner Hut.
From the Stettiner Hut (south) descend about 50 altitude meters to the nearby ice lake in the valley end (41, 46) and then (southeast) on the remains of a path (Willy-Ahrens-Weg) first steeply up through unpleasant rubble made of crystalline limestone and then on a partly very narrow and exposed ridge further in the direction of Grafspitze. As soon as the terrain allows, turn right (southwest) over an earthy scree slope down into the saddle and across to the northern foot of the Hohe Weiße. From here, veer slightly right (west) to avoid the higher steeply falling rock and finally (south) in less rocky terrain on trail marks very steeply up to the gradually flattening summit area of the Hohe Weiße (46).
Return the same way to the Stettiner Hut (46, 41).
From the Stettiner Hut back down to the valley on the Meraner Höhenweg to the Lazinser Alm (8, 24).
From the Lazinser Alm on the right side of the valley on a forest road (northeast) out back to Pfelders.

Bike route Passeiertal
The 20 km long bike route along the Passer promises unforgettable moments with the whole family.
Route descriptionThe bike route starts directly in St. Leonhard at the underpass of the bypass road. After about 1 km, the bike route passes the MuseumPasseier. The MuseumPasseier – Andreas Hofer consists of the “Heroes & Hofer” parcours on the ground floor, the folklore section on the first floor, as well as a typical Passeirer farmhouse in the open-air area. The bike route passes St. Martin, Quellenhof, Saltaus, Riffian and ends in the old town of Meran.

Bike tour to Stuls
Bike tour St. Leonhard – Stuls – Moos – St. Leonhard
From St. Leonhard follow the Jaufenstraße in the direction of Jaufenpass. At the 5th hairpin bend turn left towards Schlattach and continue to Stuls. Via the main road to Moos and back to the starting point at St. Leonhard.
